Allison & Ross Gould
We can not thank you enough for helping us plan what was truly the trip of a lifetime. Ross and I are so grateful to have been referred to you by our friend Lily. With patience, integrity, and great insight, you put together a trip that perfectly suited our style and made our dream honeymoon a reality.
You so thoughtfully responded to my many, many questions and concerns and if you didn't know the answer, you took the time to find it for me.
We were so incredibly impressed with Wilderness Safaris. From their conservation efforts, to their support of the people in and near the communities with which they work, to the camps themselves, everything was amazing. We felt safe all the time (even in Seba when an elephant decided to eat all the trees around our tent one night!!). The accomodations were beyond our needs but it certainly was nice to be treated so well. The staff was brilliant, especially our guide Thespo in Sevuti, who has a wealth of knowledge, an incredible passion for the african wilderness, and a beautiful spirit. The food was delicious. We didn't want to leave Sevuti but when we arrived in Seba we were treated to an entirely new and fabulous experience. It was so cool to spend time with Kate, the elephant researcher living at Seba, and the rest of the staff there were was wonderful as well.
Being on Safari was a life-changing experience. We were absolutely humbled to be in the presence of the animals we encountered and it gave us great perspective on our place in this massive and complex world. It was an honor to be witness to the animal world in its essence. We can only hope to be able to contribute to its preservation and to be lucky enough to visit again some day.
From the moment we touched down in Johannesburg, Wilderness Safaris was there to greet us, transport us, and make our connections a breeze. The ground staff in Jo-Burg and Cape Town were great. They didn't miss a beat. And when we wanted to arrange some day trips, they hooked us up with Tours &Trails which is a fantastic outfit. Our day trip to the Township of Guguletu was an eye-opening and moving experience. We are grateful to have met Thando, our guide from the Township. Thando is working to make the entire world aware of the impact of Apartheid on the South African people and we hope to help by sharing photos and stories from our visit, and inspiring others to visit Townships as well.
Our winelands tour was beyond our greatest expectations. Our guide, Clive, also from Tours & Trails, was brilliant. A wine expert and lovely person to spend a day with, the tour was overly generous. Five wine tastings, a cheese tasting, and one of the best lunches we've ever eaten! When Clive discovered my passion for photography, he made extra stops along our way to places where he thought photographic opportunities abounded.
All said, we couldn't have asked for more. We will never forget this adventure and would highly recommend Geographic Group to anyone who was planning to travel to Africa. We will certainly let you know if our lives lead us back to Africa again.
Thank you so much.

The trip was beyond my expectations. We were met at the airports by the people that were supposed to be there. The representative gave us the information and nice folder with instructions. The guides were courteous and friendly. The food was exceptional at all the camps. We now are members of the big five club. We saw lots more than the big five. Thank-you for organizing and sending us on a tour of our lifetime.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the recent trip you
arranged for us. Everything went very smoothly. We were met by Wilderness
Safari representatives when they said they would and given instructions,
vouchers, transportation, etc. for our travel in southern Africa. The
flights between camps were as scheduled and the camps themselves were
outstanding. Your selection of the three different ones--Chitabe, Duba
Plains, and Xigera--gave us three different experiences in the kavango Delta.
As far as we are concerned, the Blue Train is worth whatever it cost. It
was very relaxing with excellent food and service, and a nice change after
the bush.
The Cape Grace Hotel is a jewel with excellent location, fine staff, and
luxury accommodations. Cape Town lives up to its reputation and a beautiful
city with wonderful surroundings.
Wilderness Safaris seems to be a first class company and we would highly
recommend them to anyone interested in travelling to southern Africa. And
of course we would also give high marks to Geographic Group for its
competence and service. We hope we will be able to do business with you and
Wilderness Safaris again in the near future.

Your people all did a great job. We loved all the camps but especially Xigera camp. The facilities were so nice and it gave us a total different experience from a land camp. I think that was a great mix. We saw all the game in each camp possible except we did not witness a kill. Selofane is a great airline. I wish all airlines were so efficient. Capetown was beautiful and the Codfather was the best! I couldn't believe how many shanties run along the highway. I am glad my children could see both sides of Capetown. Thank you for everything.

We just returned from Tanzania, spending two weeks with Corbett Bishop as our guide. We could not have had a better time! The trip was spectacular! What an amazing experience! And we owe it all to you! Thanks for the recommendation and steering us to Corbett, he is a great guy and an awsome guide to boot. Now we can start to understand the allure of Africa....we'd better be careful or we will get bitten by the Africa bug! Thanks again, I really appreciate your time and help in this adventure. If you are in NYC we can swap Africa stories.

"...What a wonderful trip Carey, Robert and i had to Africa. It was fantastic. We all want to go back-so that's a successful trip. Botswana was just great. I really hated to leave. Each camp was beautiful and the managers are all so nice. It was especially in our favor to know you and Britt! James at Duba Plains said to say hello, as did many others. Every detail with wilderness safaris was perfect and timely. It made the trip so relaxing and carefree. Thanks for everything."

"... Our experience with Geographic Group will be standard by which all other trips will be measured throughout our life together. Your professionalism, responsiveness and honesty set the path for a stress free preparation to our honeymoon. A few months into our original planning we thought we would never be able to overcome the unknowns and the complexity of planning an African Safari. We became frustrated. In retrospect, ALL the chaos and confusion associated with our planning occurred before we began using your organization. For that we are truly grateful.
I can't imagine anything more pristine, educational, surprising and enlightening as Botswana and Victoria Falls were to us. We went to see animals and came to find out there was so much more. we were remote, yet we never felt endangered or unsafe. The animals and birds were outstanding to watch and admire. The scenery was breathtaking. The accommodations were five star. The staff and guides became family and the dining was tasteful and fun. Botswana is what we always dreamed of Africa being and what it must have been hundreds of years ago.
You encourage us to approach Africa with an open mind and travel to a place where we would truly have a unique, authentic African experience. We did just that and everything was more amazing than ever anticipated. Because we took your advice, there was a surprise waiting for us around every corner."

"...Thank you for planning our dream vacation in Botswana and Tanzania. The three safari camps in Botswana were luxurious and intimate, with great management staff and guides. It's hard to imagine that two of the nicest "hotels" in the world (Jao and Mombo) are deep in the heart of Okavango Delta, but i've traveled all over the world and cant remember any place that i've stayed that compared to the serene perfection of those camps. As for Mnemba Island, it was like stepping into a dream. The entire experience on the island, it was like stepping into a dream. The entire experience on the island was magical. Our trip was flawless, and for this we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We look forward to the next exotic vacation planned by the Geographic Group!"
Scott & Karin Beckendorf, San Antonio, Texas, USA
"Our safari trip was spectacular. Everything was so well planned. The flights, the transfers, the diversity of each camp on our itinerary was perfect. We witnessed a lion stalk and attack at Duba Plains, relaxed in Mokoros at Xigera, saw the big five in one morning in Mombo, watched two week old leopard cubs with their mother at Leopard Hills and saw a male cheetah at Singita. Once we left the bush and ended up in Cape Town. The women fell in love with all there is to do-shopping, shopping, shopping! It was definitely a memorable trip of a lifetime."
Please let us know about your safari experience.
