Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is in Southern Africa. Historically it was colonized by the British and known as Southern Rhodesia. The diverse landscape is made up of rolling hills, vast woodlands, lakes, and rivers. Its northern border is the Zambezi River, which it shares with Zambia. One of the more popular destinations in Zimbabwe is the town of Victoria Falls, which is located at Batoka Gorge, where the Falls makes its 335-foot drop. River cruises, whitewater rafting, and bungee jumping are popular activities while in the Falls. Zimbabwe is also well known for its magnificent wildlife viewing. Hwange N.P., Matusadona, Mana Pools, Matobo N.P., and Gonarezhou Transfrontier National Park are filled with an abundance of animals.
